Covid-19 Update - Golf Club Open under Level 2

Firstly thanks to the many positive comments to the Board along with the positive Facebook posts. Makes us feel it’s all been worthwhile…

We have successfully negotiated levels 3 and 2 previously thanks to your co-operation and great work from our staff.

Now that we are back in level 2 again, there are a few key things to note:

  • All visits to the club must be recorded for contact tracing.  You are required to:
    • Book a tee time using at least one day before playing.  (For same requests please call the club and only proceed to the club if you receive a confimed reservation).
    • Bookings are not required for regular club haggle tee times.  However, you must participate in the disk draw and must play in the group drawn at the time allocated.  The members of each group will be recorded by the office.
    • Report to the office before using the practice facility.
    • Pre-order food before your round using the forms provided.
    • The club is operating as a cafe and alcohol can only be served with pre-ordered food.  Table service will apply.
    • Maintain appropriate distancing in the club and only sit with your four.
  •  Club temporary local rules apply:
    • The flagstick must remain in the hole at all times.  Groups are recommended to allow short gimme's to avoid holing out.
    • Bunker rakes have been removed.  If you have a poor lie in the bunker as a result of it not being raked, you are entitled to free relief WITHIN the bunker within one club length.
    • Avoid exchanging physical cards.  Use the scoring app if possible.  Peer review can be conducted by verbal agreement.

Level 3 - A look back

Jean Bainbridge, pictured, will be 91 in September and was one of the first giving the thumbs up. Jean along with many others could not wait to get back out on the course. Unfortunately she had to play solo. Her best friend, Mary, played behind her. Restrictions are no combining "bubbles" for purposes of golf. Jean walked the 9 holes in less than 1 hour 30 and will be back next week. The course has been fully booked all 3 days this week.
